Hero Moto Corp is facing tough times in the two wheeler market relating to motorcycle segment. The motorcycle sales have been declined in the month of September and the worst part of this is the flagship motorcycle Splendor is being dethroned by Bajaj Discover. However, despite losing the No.1 slot in the Indian markets, the company has good news to cheer about. Yes! Hero Moto Corp is placed in the second position in scooter segment for selling most number of scooters after Honda. The company has managed to sell a whooping 49,340 number of scooters in the month of September in India that saw a rise of about 46.25% percent in its sales. Although, the company lost its position in the motorcycle segment, it has managed to reach up to the second position. After seeing the rise in its scooter sales, the company will definitely look to regain its lost ground in the two wheeler sector. However, it will have to face challenges from the likes of HMSI and Bajaj in its sector.
According to the market numbers, the Hero Motor Corp has sold about 49,340 units of scooters compared to 33,737 units of scooters in the previous month. Hero Maestro performed exceptionally well compared to TVS Wego and contributed for the improvement of company’s sales. However, the fall of Hero Bikes is a cause of concern for the company. After sales declined for Hero, it will have to face the emerging TVS bikes, which are coming up with back to back models with most affordable price. When it comes to gearless scooter segment Maestro help a lot for the company. It comes with attractive appearance, style, and performance that are needed by many. Moreover, Hero Maestro Price is less compared to TVS Wego price that draw the attention of many in the markets. It seems that the Hero Moto Corp is focusing more on its scooters rather than its bikes, which is why the reason it saw a tremendous boost in the market despite losing in the motorcycle segment.
