Honda bikes has always made their appearance with one surprise after another, and now the company is out with yet another excellent surprise for its customers. The company has recently launched its high performance affordable model of fuel-injected version of CBR 150R. The bike was previously launched in Thai market and expected to enter the Indian market in last month of 2012. The bike is considered as a replica to CBR 250R but the truth is, Honda CBR 150R is completely different bike from the 250R model in every possible manner. Looking at some Honda CBR 150R features, the bike has quite a few differences from its larger sibling. While the 250R is adorned with silver trim bits, the bulbous panes and massive exhausts, the 150R is equipped with shorter exhaust panel. Some other features make this bike sportier and a perfect choice for college going youngsters as well as working professionals.

If one will browse through several Honda CBR 150R pictures, one will be able to observe the complete beauty of this queen of roads. Its skeleton sports and funky design makes it stand in the queue of sport bikes just like Yamaha’s R15. The bike undoubtedly has the best riding postures amongst any of the bike we have in India at current times. The seat is very comfy, the handle is low and supportive and foot pegs are uniquely designed. The fuel tank is designed in such a way it gives complete rest to one’s knees. Even though one is on a long drive, one will not face any kind of back pain or pressure on the back. Combined with luxury with comfort, Honda CBR 150R is a fun to ride anywhere.

Honda and Bajaj continue to fight for 2nd spot

It has been a long time for the two major auto giants to produce quality vehicles in the country. Honda which is relatively new in case of bikes on the Indian roads has emerged as one of the best bike producers in the country being already done it with the cars. From the past time, Honda bikes have created problem for Bajaj bikes in India and the company which already displaced TVS Company from the 3rd spot in terms of sales in the country is now eying to grab the 2nd position of Bajaj. Well, of course Hero is the 1st name in the country which was earlier called Hero Honda. We have already seen that the companies in the country are trying to achieve every segment with their new flair of innovative bikes.

Talking about the sales of bike in the month of March, Honda took the second spot after displacing the Bajaj but Bajaj again came back and clearly took over Honda in terms of sales in the month of April. Again, Honda displaced Bajaj in the month of May and the situation remained the same for the month of June. So, it seems that despite of the close competition, Honda steadily is rising up in terms of totally bike sales by the company and Bajaj on the other hand is also making its best efforts to not let Honda easily take over. This is a inspiring competition for the bikes in India and it makes the quality and versatility to increase more. Well, both the company are not only working on their new launches but also upgrading their models which earned them a good name in the country. June 2012 Bike Sales Figures & Analysis.

Honda CBR 150R has been one of the best launches in the country which took a lot of admiration as Honda too took a step in the sports bike segment. This bike came in strong competition with the Yamaha’s R15 which is the current hero of the country. On the other hand, Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS seem to be big launch from the Bajaj which is party having its launch in different parts of the country. At a very competitive price, It seems to take on Mahindra Duke. Honda CBR 150R price is 1.35Lakhs in the country while Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS price is around the 85thousand mark. There are other few bikes from these two auto giants which are expected to boom the competition in India. Well, for now Bajaj which is best in 150cc+ segment in the country is expected to be below for sometime from Honda which is best at 100-125cc and 250cc bikes in the country. Honda CBR 150R vs Yamaha Y2F R15 Review

Yamaha Bikes launched the YZF-R15 back in mid-2008, This 150-cc offering from Yamaha was a new experience for the Indian customers because as it was a first 150-cc bike in its class. After, ruling the market for almost four years, today it is getting a stiff competition from Honda bikes with its Honda CBR 150R. If we compare the two bikes according to their exteriors, The most upgraded of R15 is version 2.0 is an aggressively styled machine,Yamaha Y2F R15 has derived its look from its elder sibling R6.Now talking about Honda CBR 150R, Honda CBR 150R has a eye-catching headlight, exhaust with a stubby look and pleasant graphics. Each of them has its own design and looks quite impressive. If we compare the quality of material and fit-and-finish , the Yamaha Y2F R15 scores over the Honda CBR 150R.

Comparing the sitting posture of two bikes, Yamaha YZF R15 looks quite aggressive and to have comfortable seat the driver needs to lean-forward. The seat is quite tall and the clip-ons and tank are quite low. On the other hand,CBR 150R offers a more relaxed driving, because the handlebar, seat and foot-pegs geometry provides a comfortable ride. Now if we compare the engine and features, both of them are equipped with a four-stroke, four-valve, 150-cc engines, liquid cooling, fuel injection along with six-speed transmissions. However, the Yamaha Y2F R15 employs the SOHC mechanism while the CBR uses of DOHC. Talking about power and torque, Honda CBR 150R provides a maximum power of 17.6 ps @ 10500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.66 nm @ 8500 rpm. On the other hand, Yamaha Y2F R15 provides a maximum power of 17 ps @ 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 15nm @ 7500 rpm. With all such great features,Honda CBR 150R price is around Rs.116,385 (Ex-showroom price in New Delhi) while the Yamaha Y2F R15 price is around Rs.107,000(Ex-showroom price in New Delhi)

Both the bikes are quite good at their positions, both of them are dedicated to sport, since the Yamaha Y2F R15 has an extremely committed stance, it automatically lends itself to be used for sport riding purpose. On the other hand, the Honda CBR 150R can serve very well in both aspect whether It has a comfortable seating for commuting everyday from home to work and back, can make for a good machine over the weekend and can be a wonderful machine on the highways. So if you want dual benefit go for Honda CBR 150R while if you love adventurous riding Yamaha Y2F R15 is a better option. I shared that Honda Activa and Suzuki Access are in Same Price range.
