New version Honda Activa I available with good features and specs


Honda Motorcycles And Scooters India, the Japanese company launching a new version Activa in Indian market. The gearless scooter is dubbed as Honda Activa I and it is to be the low cost version of their flagship scooter Activa. It comes in fresh look with beautiful Honda styling and sure take over the Honda aggressive market. Currently, the company has three gearless scooter models Dio, Activa and Aviator all powered by 110 cc engines. Now, this new version scooter will join them to give a tough competition to its nearest rivals.  The bike is offered in four colours namely Beige Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, Alpha Red Metallic and Purple Metallic. The Honda Activa I price in India has been officially announced and it is placed at INR 44,200. It is styled vigorously and the company is mainly targeting working people aged between 25 to 30 years. It is the first light weight personal compact automatic scooter which is expected to acquire almost 25 percent of the automatic scooter sales in India. The Honda Activa I features with Combi Brake system (CBS), maintenance free battery, tubeless tires, viscous air filter and an under seat storage capacity of 18-liters. It will be weighing just 103 kg along with a ground clearance of 165mm. It carries out the Honda Eco technology (HET) which is found in the Honda scooters launched earlier this year. The new version price is about Rs. 3,000 cheaper than the 2013 Activa and about Rs. 500 cheaper than the Dio. Honda is also planning to to consolidate its market leadership in the automatic scooter segment by increasing the capacity of the newly inaugurated third plant near Bengaluru.

It is powered by an advanced 109 cc 4-stroke air cooled engine which delivers improved combustion, reduced friction and optimized transmission. The company claimed a dreaming mileage of 60 kmpl on city road conditions. The engine is capable of delivering power of 5.83kw or 8 BHP and a torque output of 8.74Nm at 5500 RPM. It uses 130mm drum braking system on both front and back. It is packed with pring loaded hydraulic suspensions for front and rear end. This impressive chic will comes with a two tone instrument cluster which include a speedometer, as well as fuel-level indicator. its really a good gearless scooter launched for all age groups.
