Mahindra Rodeo receives Award for Best Design Model


Mahindra & Mahindra, an Indian automobiles company that was established in the year 1945, introduced a new scooter bike to the Indian crowd called Mahindra Rodeo. Mahindra bikes launched this gear-less scooter in the year 2009-10 and impressed many with its design and performance features. For its contribution to the Indian public and having done a good job in terms of performance and design capabilities, India Design Mark awarded the scooter as the best bike for its design features. India Design Mark is an award given for the best designed product bikes by India Design Council.

India Design Council, an autonomous body established under the support of Ministry of Commerce and Industry that supervises the best designed products through a systematic evaluation process. The award given away by the India Design Council symbolizes excellence in form, function, quality, safety, sustainability and innovation and communicates that the product is usable, durable and giving aesthetic appeal. Mahindra Rodeo has good design features that catch the riders' eye spontaneously. Experts say that it richly deserves the award. Another from Mahindra called Mahindra Duro also received the same award for the best design bike. And Dio bike from Honda makers also received the prestigious award.

Looking back at its features, Mahindra Rodeo features a well built Z series engine of 125cc which uses Taiwan’s SYM & Italy’s Engines Engineering technology. It also has the Advanced Dual Curve Digital Ignition (DCDI) system that supports the engine well in its performance. The engine give the exhilarating power and pick-up that smoothly sails through the roads convincingly. Mahindra Rodeo pictures a wonderful easy and smooth design graphics with dimensions being 154 mm ground clearance, 1790 mm of overall length and 650 mm of width. The digital console of the bike is so new and exciting in its display.




It features tachometer, speedometer and odometer readings. The mileage of the bike is expected to be around 55 Kmpl although Mahindra specifies it to be at 59 Kmpl under ARAI testing conditions. The use of Advanced Telescopic suspensions that gives the rider a great cushion and comfort while riding on bumpy roads. The bike is so easy to drive and is of a classic scooter model that is gear-less. It is a prestigiously built bike that is expected to beat its rivals like Honda active, Hero pleasure etc. Mahindra Rodeo price is currently at INR 42,800 which is said to be the less than that of its competitors.
