Honda bikes gave the Indian market its best naked sports bikes. One of its naked bike Honda CB 1000R debuted in the year 2007. this naked sport bike of the company is its cheapest 1000cc vehicle in Indian auto market. The Honda CB 1000R price is Rs.9,97,875 (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). The price tag is not so high for a 1000cc model. The specification of this model indicate towards its high quality of acceleration and performance. It look is also very stylish and impressive. Together with Suzuki Hayabusa this motorcycle is participated in Saddle-sore, an adventurous journey. The riders have to cover a distance of 1000kms within 24 hours but due to some frame slider issue the Saddle-sore was abandoned.
Honda CB 1000R features show that it is provided with a powerful 998cc in-line four engine. The company has re-tuned the engine of one of its last model CBR 1000R for this new model. This four-stroke engine is loaded with a liquid-cooled system. This 16 valves, DOHC engine can pump out a tremendous power output of 126bhp, which comes at an acceleration point of 10000 revolutions per minute and its torque production is of 100Nm which comes at an acceleration point of 8000 revolutions per minute. The motorcycle features a six-speed constant mesh manual gearbox working as one gear down and rest five gears-up shift pattern. Its fuel- efficiency is not so impressive, it ranges from 15 to 20km per litre.
It has got a split seat and rear-set foot pegs that offers a sporty and stylish riding posture. The handlebars loaded with this vehicle are positioned at quite low height so the rider has to bend forward to reach its handlebar to make him comfortable. This two wheeler is provided with a superb suspension system that enables it to give the rider a relaxed ride experience. It has an adjustable front suspension with 43mm inverted telescopic forks of 120mm cushion stroke while at the rear side it has a gas filled mono shock absorber with 10 step pre-load and rebound damping adjustable.
This system provides a great stability and control even at high speed. It adopted radial mount calipers from its elder sibling. Honda CB 1000R pictures show that it adopted its design styling from one of the models of the company CB600F. The triangular multi reflector headlight and front mudguard of both of the motorcycles are same. Its headlight has a uniquely positioned LED lamp along with a clear lens indicators that are placed very near to its edgy visor makes it to look very attractive. It is also one of the fastest motorcycles which has the top speed of 225km per hour.
