Mahindra Gearing Up To Roll Out Centuro-A 110cc Bike

Mahindra Two Wheelers have entered into motorcycle business. This manufacturer is gearing up to roll out Centuro, its second motorcycle model in the 110-cc segment. No confirmation regarding the exact launch time of this bike, but it might be launched during the second quarter of the current financial year. Mahindra bikes, has been working on various platforms which includes the Mahindra Mojo, its flagship 300-cc motorcycle and a 150 cc model. This premium entry level bike will be competing with the other likes Hero Passion xPro and Bajaj Discover 100T in this segment. The company has recently launched its plant at Pithampur near Indore which has an installed manufacturing capacity of one million units a year. One of the sources has reported that the company has committed to invest Rs 500 crore in research and development over the next five years. The Mahindra Centuro price in India has been placed INR 52,000.

Mahindra Centuro pictures reveals the stunning looks of this bike and it seems the company has tried their level best to make this bike look mature and aggressive. The motorcycle is powered by Mahindra’s own, indigenously developed Mci-5, Micro Chip ignited-5 Curve engine which helps to respond the riders need for power and economy on the move. It is packed with a new instrument console which is completely different from the bikes in this segment. This consists of a combined analogue digital instrument console with all essential LED indicators in it. The bike is protected by a Central Locking Anti Theft System with a Engine Immobiliser and a Remote 96-bit encrypted Flip Key. Added to this, The bike has digital odometer, 2-trip meter and fuel gauge.

Mahindra Centuro has 110cc Engine which features with drum brakes of 130mm at both the ends. It has hydraulic telescopic front forks and five way adjustable rear coil shock absorbers. The motorcycle has a find me lamps that help to easily locate the motorcycle even in crowded parking lots. This 106cc engine produces a peak power of 8.5 bhp at 7500 rpm and generates a maximum torque output of 8.5 nm. Sourced reports that it has an advanced and fully digital console which is in-built, programmed with Service Indicator and distance to empty fuel calculator. It comes loaded with bright LED tail and pilot lamps which are clearly visible in almost all weather conditions. Mahindra claims that the fuel efficiency of this power bike ranges from 62 to 65 kmpl in city roads, and around 68 to 70 kmpl on highways.
