Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 to launch on October 11


Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 has become a hit in the Indian market. This remained as one of the most anticipated bikes of the recent times. Although, it has been released on 11th of October 2012, there was much hype created about it even before its release. Royal Enfield bikes are very popular in the country and is a favorite name among maximum of bikers. In this Thunderbird version, the manufacturer has launched several new and advanced features and it is also being said that this bike would overtake Thunderbird 350 in terms of performance, features and appearance. It would have taken off long back had not the manufacturer faced constraints in relation to its production. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is powered by 4 stroke single cylinder 499cc Twinspark engine and that comes with an air cooled system. As of now, it is the only bike that makes use of the largest single cylinder engine and that is the Unit Construction Engine. The peak torque level given out by Thunderbird 500 is 41.3NM at 4000Rpm and so far, Thunderbird 500 has been recorded to give out the utmost level of torque, compared to all others, running in India. The weight of the bike adds up to 195kg and ensures no problem when it comes to handling. It is integrated with 14Ah capacity free maintenance battery and includes neon blue black light digital display. There is a 280mm disc upfront to the bike with 2 piston calipers and the rear has a 240mm disc. With 1350mm wheelbase dimensions, it has a 120 section tyre and has 19 inch upfront wheel size. Overall, this is a top class bike perfectly suitable for high class communities. In comparison to its previous variants, Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 price in india is very expensive and it reaches around Rs. 1,82,000.
