Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched the new baby, Honda CBR250R. Honda bikes are well known for their durability and super tough engines, and the new Honda bike is not an exception. Honda CBR250R is a 250 cc bike and is posing a direct threat to Kawasaki, the ruling entry level sports bike of India. The latter has longed been seen as the only best looking 250cc sports bike in India. Kawasaki bikes are recognized worldwide for their engaging appearance and are sold in India by the Bajaj dealers.
The CBR250R is equipped with a newly-developed liquid-cooled 4-stroke DOHC single-cylinder engine whereas Kawasaki Ninja 250R has a 249 CM3 liquid cooled parallel twin engine. The Honda bike is very handsome in its look with a wheelbase of 53.9 inches, trail of 3.9 inches and seat height of 30.5 inches. The bike also features a unique Y-shaped headlight and arching spokes in the tubeless tyres to add to the charm. Hyusong GT250R and Honda CBR 250R are two superb bikes from 250CC segment. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is not lagging behind in terms of styling. It features 17inches wheel like a large super sports bike and larger volume body work than that of its competitor. The most striking feature of Honda CBR260R is however a futuristic instrument panel that emits beautiful LCD backlight. The panel is coated in silver and gives the bike a very modern look. The elegant muffler in stainless steel also is very appealing. Every rider can enjoy a comfortable ride in Honda CBR260R as the bike has a split seat for easy riding and handling of the bike. The bike also exhibits a very secure suspension and excellent rear-front brakes for better control over speed. Kawasaki Ninja 250R has a forward slanting seat that helps the rider to acquire a natural riding position.
The bike from the Japanese manufacturers has a black tinted windscreen between the mirrors, 6 spoke alloy wheels, and two helmet holders under the rear seat that makes the bike unique in all perspectives. Its smooth clutch feel, revamped fuel injection system and aggressive dual lamp headlight design are the things that are attracting people towards this sports bike. Like the Honda bike, the new Kawasaki bike also has an attractive instrument panel with a rectangular LCD and a new analogue tachometer. The bike ensures smooth power delivery and a wonderful riding experience.
Pricing is one of the most important aspects while dealing with a sports bike, and this is true with both the bikes. While Bajaj has kept the Kawasaki Ninja 250R price at 2, 69,000(INR) at Delhi (Ex-showroom), Honda prefers to kept the Honda CBR260R price between 1.45 Lakh to 1.75 Lakh in INR. Whatever may be the people’s choice, it is clear that both the bikes exhibit excellent features and are going to rule the market in two wheeler segment in India in a long way.
