KTM 390 Duke: Priced at Rs 1.8 lakh


KTM is an European manufacturing company and it is one of the biggest two wheeler manufacturing company. The company started its business in Indian market with 200Duke street model. KTM bikes are relatively less known in markets outside Europe but their passion of motoring is evident in their offering. The company would be soon launching their most awaited model KTM 390 Duke in the international market. The KTM 390 Duke price is Rs. 1,80,000 (Ex-Showroom, New Delhi). It borrows its styling from the Duke 200 but on an overall it will be a complete different mean machine. Recently this bike gets ridden on the streets on Pune and surrounding highways and hills for a road test.

KTM 390 Duke features reveal that it has got exclusive safety equipment which ensures a proper safety to the rider and pillion at high speed also. It has a suspension system that give a jerk free ride experience, which has a WP suspension up side down shock absorber fork is fitted on the front tyre along with a mono shock WP suspension shock absorber under the seat. This system provides a high class stability. This two wheeler is blessed with a high quality disc brakes with a for-pot caliper disc at the front side and a single pot caliper and floating brake disc at the rear side. This braking system gives a better safety at high speeds and wet surfaces. It can provide an immediate halt safely.

The manufacturers uses very less amount of body panel in order to make it less heavy. This two wheeler has a weight of 139 kgs only. This less weight gives it a very high speed. It is powered by a 390cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke spark ignition engine with a liquid cooling mechanism and it has an overall displacement of 373.2cc. It has bore and stroke measurement of 89mm and 60mm respectively. This engine can cracks a total output power of 44bhp accessible at an acceleration of 9500 revolutions per minute and a maximum torque of amount 35Nm accessible at an acceleration of 7250 revolutions per minute. Along with kick start it also has an electric start for aiding in a smooth start of the engine. The engine is mounted with a six speed, claw shifted gear transmission system.




KTM 390 Duke pictures show that on the rear end the flaming red, flamboyant and illuminating tail light sits right on the top of a fairing gives a classy look. The racing inspired mono shock absorber is housed perfectly under the seat and is painted finely in white for adding a dual-tone touch on the side profile. The projector headlamp on the front has got the turn indicators present on both sides of its head and gives it an amazing look and KTM Duke 390 being equipped with a heavy and powerful engine.
