Mahindra Centuro Win The Race Over Honda Dream Neo


For the bike-lover, who is going to buy a bike for the first time,  there are four conditions such as riding comfort, look, performance and price. In recent times, Mahindra Bikes have launched another motocycle to its line-up and this is a premium entry level motorcycle called as Mahindra Centuro. The Honda Bikes have launched Honda Dream Neo and this two-wheeler was launched on the sidelines of Honda Dream Carnival. Both the vehicles grabbed the attention of many Indian buyers in the market. Let us start the battle between both these vehicle regarding their performance and price. The Centuro comes with new body graphics, five curved spoke wheels and also gets all digital systems with an analogue tachometer.

Added to these features the centuro comes with 12.7 liter tank and Neo comes with 8 liter tank which lets you to travel around 872.5 km and 571 km respectively. Both these two wheelers are very close in terms of performance but there is an important factor to be considered that is price. The Mahindra Centuro Price is Rs. 44,784 while the Honda Dream Neo price is Rs 50,426, which is higher than the competitor. Finally, this two-wheeler wins the race because of low cost and many parameters are same as the competitor.


This motorcycle front end resembles a lot with the TVS flame that was on sale a while ago. It also has a distance to empty reading in the instrument cluster and this two wheeler comes with exciting features like LED pilot lights, a little torch on the key, LED tail light, follow me home headlamp and a car-like a key fob with a bike locator function. With all these specifications the Centuro looks more stylish, attractive but the seat of the vehicle is not't that great. Coming to Dream Neo, this vehicle seat is wider and foam, by which the rider feels very comfortable and the riding position is also much better in this vehicle.


Honda Dream Neo



Coming to performance the Centuro is powered by a 106.7cc, air cooled, single cylinder, Mci-5 engine which churns out 8.5 PS power at 7500rpm and offers a torque of 8.5 Nm at 5500rpm. The Neo uses a 109cc single cylinder, air-cooled that produces 8.3 PS power at 7500rpm and also offers a torque of 8.6Nm at 5500 rpm. From above the engine specification the Honda wins because it offers a decent mileage of 69.6kmpl in the city, 76.7kmpl in the town and overall it gives an average mileage of 68.7kmpl. Where as Neo gives a mileage of 78.6kmpl in the city, 65.4kmpl in the town and overall it offers an average mileage of 71.4kmpl and Mahindra Centuro has been receiving overwhelming response with more than 10,000 bookings made by the consumers within 3 weeks.
